Hitting a perfect balance between transitional and industrial, Home Street Cafe creates an inviting and warm space with just enough punch to keep it on trend.

I love the amount of detail work that can be found though out the space. While some details don't fit in perfectly, they all help balance the pristine white adding to the layers of the space and ultimately creating warmth and wit.

Lucky's Doughnuts

Name: Lucky's Doughnuts & Forty Ninth Parallel Coffee
Location: Vancouver, BC

Located in Vancouver, Forty Ninth Parallel coffee brought together two great concepts under the same, well designed roof.

Using the great bones of their raw & urban space, industrial furnishings and a large wood bar act as a rich yet neutral backdrop to fresh made doughnuts and cappuccinos.

A large, wrap around banquette and upholstered booths provide ample seating for those who flock to the new location for the onsite created doughnuts and coffee.

The cohesive branding and logos compliment the vintage, industrial, and warm interior.

Fish Shack

Name: Fish Shack
Location: Vancouver, BC

Fish Shack is a great example of common materials used in unexpected and uncommon way to create something completely unique.

Using traditional materials associated with the fishing industry; ropes, wood crates and palates and industrial, galvanized fixtures plays homage to the overall concept.

Keeping the color palate simple allows the focus to remain on the palate installations and large chalkboard menu.

Matchstick Coffee

Name: Matchstick Coffee
Location: Vancouver, BC

Matchstick, located in Vancouver, is a great example of a well thought through concept on a small budget.

Matchstick's branding and logo evoke the warmth and playfulness of their owners while also drawing connection to the handcrafted quality of their product.

Matchstick did a great job understanding their concept and core identity and portraying it to the public through their use of simple, raw materials and clean color palate.

The minimalism created inside of the space not only helps with small budgets, but also keeps the interior unfussy and uncluttered. This direction thoughtfulness of objects and space speaks to the owners clear vision of their brand and product.

The large, live edge community table is one of the largest visual components of the space (other than the long service bar on the opposite wall) and emphasizes Matchsticks desire to be a community gathering space. This long table can transform to meet multiple needs through the day in a variety of situations and brings people together.

Large groupings of the same artists work create a much bigger visual effect than their initial cost.
